The main aim of the project was to create a universal space which could accommodate corporate and open events with a large number of participants, host customer meetings and serve for representative purposes.
To achieve this, the design had to include presentation capabilities, technologies for collective and individual viewing of audiovisual recordings, videoconferencing, meetings and educational sessions.
To address all required tasks, iCore specialists provided a complex solution which incorporated several interconnected functional modules working as a whole:
Data visualization system comprises a 4.8 x 2 m video wall consisting of 55” micro-edge ultra-bright NEC LCD displays, backup NEC and LG screens and video displays, and an interactive video system consisting of three ultra-short focus NEC projectors. Projectors in the interactive projection system can be used separately as additional visualization devices.
The audio processing and voicing subsystem is equipped with wireless handheld and head microphones from Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser, Biamp digital audio processors, and Extron amplifiers and acoustic systems.
The discussion subsystem is equipped with Beyerdynamic podium microphones, Shure microphones for delegates, Bosch simultaneous interpreting systems, and an e-voting system. iCore engineers implemented a conferencing system based on microphone arrays for collective usage, while the central management function is performed by the audio processing subsystem units.
The video conferencing subsystem is equipped with a set of motorized high-definition Sony video cameras and a Polycom hardware codec.
The closed circuit TV, recording and broadcasting subsystem consists of high-speed, high definition motorized Sony IP-video cameras, camera management workstations, and Extron streaming media processor with recording capabilities.
The switching subsystem includes podium equipment, additional video signal sources, Extron matrix switch with a set of transceivers, RGB Spectrum controllers for the video wall and video monitoring.
The complex is managed via Crestron, Schneider Electric and Helvar controllers, sensors, switches and gateways for integration with engineering systems, and via endpoint management devices.
Operator workstations are equipped with computers, displays, additional audio and video signal controlling devices, and management devices.
Uninterruptible power supply and switching are provided by a 20 kVA APC UPS, electric switchgear, and two 19” switchboard cabinets.
The customer received a high end conference hall furnished with a technically balanced complex of multimedia equipment with an optimal combination of parameters in terms of cost and functions. Thanks to the configuration management features included in the design, this facility can be used for various purposes and is equipped with visualization, video recording, voicing and audio processing capabilities of highest quality for each use case. Since commissioning day, the hall has become a favorite meeting place and is now the main attraction both for the executives and employees of ROSATOM.
